We are seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team. The Heavy Equipment Operator is responsible for operating heavy equipment in a safe and appropriate manner. Heavy equipment may include trackhoe, dozers, graders, and other pieces of equipment. The Heavy Equipment Operator must also clean, maintain and secure all equipment as directed by legislation, policies and procedures.
Job Description
· Operate the heavy equipment in a safe and appropriate manner.
· Perform daily maintenance and safety checks of equipment.
· Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment, and clean, lubricate and refill equipment as necessary.
· Ensure the project is excavated to the proper grade, depth, and slope.
· Perform the job to ensure production is on schedule.
· Perform routine cleaning and maintenance to ensure smooth operation of the Excavator/Hoe.
· Operate other heavy equipment and other construction related duties as required.
Qualifications
· High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred; or two to four years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
· Valid driver’s license. Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen, background check and have an acceptable driving record.
· Knowledge of Dozers, Excavators, Hoes and other heavy equipment.
· Demonstrate an understanding of the issues involving ground disturbance and soil types.
· Knowledge of drains, curbs, gutter materials, as well as water and underground electrical and storm / sewer pipe construction processes and industry requirements.
· Understanding of GPS machine controls is preferred.
· Ability to work in the United States without sponsorship, both now and in the future.
Pay Commensurate with skills and experience
A skilled operator with finishing experience is a range of $20.00 – 23.00 per hour

Cost Accountant is a mid-level role focused on supporting a project in accounting and finance related functions.This position reports to the Senior Cost Accountant and conducts cost accounting duties for multiple civil construction projects. Job Description
• Assist with the preparation of monthly invoice packages for all billable projects, including all applicable backup.
• Join monthly accounting meetings with the project management team to review upcoming projections/billings.
• Investigate the project variances and submit these variance reports to management.
• Apply required construction accounting standards and procedures to the recording and reporting of construction activity.
• Set up jobs, budget control, subcontracts, and change orders in accounting system.
• Work closely with Project Managers from beginning to end of project to ensure receivables and payables are handled properly and timely.
• Understand terms in owner contracts and subcontractor contracts to ensure accuracy and timeliness of progress billings and payments.
• Understand and maintain standard cost codes in accounting system.
• Understand the concept of bidding for a project and recording the actual cost against the bid/budget.
• Review vendor invoices weekly for accuracy and payment.
• Communicate with Crew Leaders and external vendors and subcontractors via phone and email.
Qualifications
• At least 2 years of construction cost accounting experience
• Combination of work experience and education will be considered. Associate's degree in business is preferred
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Products to include Excel, Word, SharePoint, Teams and Outlook in Office 365 cloud environment
• Experience with QuickBooks
• Experience working with Pivot Tables, V-Look Ups, and other key excel functions is preferred
• Effective communication (both oral and written), organization and interpersonal skills.

We are seeking an experienced Dump Truck Driver to join our team.
Job Description
• Performs daily pre-trip truck equipment inspections and all required safety equipment including, but not limited to; tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil and water, etc. before each shift to assure equipment is safe for usage. Completes written daily inspection report as required. Submits request for maintenance for any repair items.
• Maintains truck logs or time recordings as required by state, federal, and company policies and regulations. Assist with proper and legal loading of materials for transport as designated by supervisor.
• Weighs in and out at scales for load ticketing and legal weight compliance. Receives designated directions from supervisor.
• Operate truck safely to and from project destination and prepares and acquires customer signature receipts for load delivered.
• Maintains telephone, messaging, and/or radio contact with supervisor for instructions. This may include after work hours and during the weekend.
• Pulls levers or turns crank to tilt body and dump contents.
• Move hand and foot controls for truck movement forward and backward and to loosen and dump material adhering to body. Occasionally set tailgate chains for measured spreading delivery.
• Perform emergency roadside repairs including, but not limited to, changing tires, installing light bulbs, installing tire chains.
• Positions blocks and/or tarps to secure load for transit. Connects/disconnects various trailers for a variety of truck configurations.
• Performs post trip vehicle inspection noting any defects or deficiencies in writing. Written inspections are turned in to designated personnel.
• Performs all safety procedures required by governmental agencies and those established by CTS Excavations LLC.
• Employee may be sent to other facility locations and operations to perform duties as required.

The Lowboy Driver will transport construction equipment (excavator, dozer,skid steer, etc.) to various job sites in Huntsville AL including the CTS shop located in Scottsboro AL.
Job Duties
• Safely load and unload heavy construction equipment such as bulldozers, excavators, articulated trucks, compactors, and additional construction equipment, supplies, and materials.
• Safely operate a tractor-trailer, loaded and unloaded, on federal, state, and local roads in varying types of traffic conditions.
• Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip truck equipment inspections and all required safety equipment including, but not limited to; tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil and water, etc. before each shift to assure equipment is safe for usage. Complete written daily inspection report as required. Submit request for maintenance for any repair items.
• Maintain compliance as required by state, federal, and company policies and regulations. Knowledge of relevant USDOT & FMCSA safety regulations

Workweek & Work Environment
The work environment characteristics described below are representative of those that our Lowboy Driver encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
• Work is performed outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Monday thru Friday workweek with occasional assignments on the weekend depending on weather.
• Ability to lift, on a frequent basis, at least 50 pounds and carry at least 30 pounds personally.
• Work environment periodically exposes the employees to high levels of noise.
• Employee regularly works near heavy equipment and moving machinery.
• Work involves close proximity to high traffic areas, both in and out of construction zones
• Work may involve a variety of substances commonly found on construction sites such as form oil, grease, curing compounds, gasoline, diesel fuel and ready mixed concrete.
• The position is full time, and expected to work more than 40 hours per week. Candidate may need to work extra hours to ensure that deadlines are met.
